Looking over the forums at eeeuser.com it looks like a few different companies have been taking preorders on the Asus eee PC
Based on responses to those who ordered in early September, shipment may be soon. For those who ordered more recently, they may already have been too late to get in on the first units that will ship. Looking at prices for one company taking preorders seems to verify that the high demand has led to higher prices than those originally predicted for the machine.
